Description
Prof Carmen Scheibenbogen provided the opening statements to the International ME/CFS Conference 2025, noting the recent shift in attention towards ME/CFS. Findings from recent studies have contributed to an improved understanding of the potential disease mechanisms, which may ultimately pave the way for the deveopment of targeted curative treatments. Prof Scheibenbogen recognised the needs of the millions of people living with ME/CFS globally and encouraged conference participants to engange in discussions in an effort to cross scientific borders.
