Dr Isabell von Loga holds a degree in neuroscience and psychology from Princeton University and a medical degree from Imperial College London, as well as a PhD in molecular biology from the University of Oxford. Dr Loga's professional experience includes healthcare strategy consulting and healthtech innovation at the University Hospital Zurich, among others. As a patient expert with Long COVID Germany (LCD), Dr Loga has been engaged in patient advocacy and outreach on Long COVID over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a patient advocacy group, LCD has been committed to raising awareness, improving care, and researching Long COVID and post-COVID syndrome since 2021. LCD represents the interests of patients in research projects in the areas of healthcare services, clinical, and basic/translational research across Germany, as well as in the development of guidelines, assessment and care directives, and treatment recommendations. At the level of the Federal Government, LCD advocates for the funding and support of research projects and initiatives. At the heart of LCD's work is the promotion of the perspectives of people with lived experience, combined with the scientific and medical expertise of its representatives.
