Prof (MD) Natascha Sommer

Prof Natascha Sommer heads the Pulmonology Outpatient Clinic at Justus Liebig University Giessen and works as a senior physician in pulmonology and intensive care medicine. Her research focuses on the mitochondrial physiology and pathology of the lung. Prof Sommer has expertise in the field of mitochondrial signaling in diseases affecting the pulmonary vessels and airways. She is also responsible for the post-COVID Outpatient Clinic in Giessen. Furthermore, she is a member of the German Center for Lung Research (DZL) and represents the German Centers for Health Research (DZG) within the framework of the "National Decade against Post-infectious Diseases".
