Dr Qiang Yu is a Researcher at the Thompson Institute of the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), Australia, working in the field of neuroimaging for ME/CFS. His research focuses on combining advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques with machine learning to better understand neurological disease processes and predict individual symptom manifestation. He completed his PhD in Computational and Applied Mathematics at the Queensland University of Technology, specialising in the simulation of anomalous diffusion for medical imaging applications. He subsequently conducted research at the University of Queensland, focusing on mathematical modeling and data analysis methods for MRI, particularly to describe MRI-based tissue microstructure imaging.
