Sebastian Musch is co-chair of the German Association for ME/CFS and represents the Organisation as one of two patient representatives on the steering committee of the "National Decade Against Post-infectious Diseases." The German Association for ME/CFS is a non-profit and membership-based organisation that advocates for the rights and needs of people living with ME/CFS. To this end, the organisation combines the crucial expertise of patients and their families and carers with the expertise of an experienced medical advisory board. Since 2016, the Association has been active in professional circles, at the political level, and through public outreach to ensure that people affected by ME/CFS receive adequate medical and social care in the future and that research is expanded. In medical matters, the German Association for ME/CFS is committed to an empirically based, scientifically oriented, and methodologically sound approach.
