Cross-reactive autoantibodies
Description
Cross-reactivity describes a serological reactions in which an antiserum against one antigen reacts with a non-identical but closely related antigen. Cross-reactive autoantibodies are a form of autoantibodies that bind to a pathogenic structure but also to molecular patterns of the host.
