Description

The group's research focuses on the understanding on how the host microbial crosstalk is executed at the intestinal epithelium. In their research, the group pursues the goal of reciprocally transferring pioneering findings from clinical research (e.g. identification of risk genes in IBD) or from basic science to the other scientific field. Thereby the group aims to implement innovative approaches for diagnostics and therapy in the field of IBD. (Description adapted from working group website: see link above)
